Preorder at ATAVIST: how it works, why we do it, and what you get

a preorder is not an order that arrives tomorrow. you pay now for something that’s produced and shipped later. at ATAVIST, that means: shipping from December 1, 2026. this article explains why we do it, what you get out of it, and what happens if it doesn’t work out.

why preorder instead of regular stock?

drop #001 is our first collection. three pieces: an oversized hoodie (#001), a full-zip hoodie (#002), and an oversized tee (essential). we don’t have our own production yet — the first runs go through print-on-demand, and that’s honestly the reason for the preorder.

the plan: if enough preorders come in, that takes us from print-on-demand to an actual factory. our own cut, heavier cotton, no middleman. your order isn’t just an order — it’s the proof that the demand exists to fund the next step.

how the preorder works

1. you order and pay. standard checkout through Shopify. credit card, PayPal, Klarna — whatever your checkout offers.

2. we produce. production starts after the ordering window closes. the run is limited to 350 pieces per size. when that number is reached, the page closes.

3. we ship. from December 1, 2026. you’ll get an email with a tracking number once your package goes out.

what if the run doesn’t happen?

you get a full refund. no voucher, no store credit. real money, back to your payment method.

can I return or exchange?

yes. 14-day right of withdrawal after delivery, no reason required (EU consumer law). you cover return shipping. these aren’t special preorder rules — that’s standard EU regulation and applies to every order.

who preorders are for

people who don’t mind waiting. who’d rather wear something that ten thousand others can’t buy. and who understand that a small brand can’t load 50,000 units into a warehouse before it knows whether anyone wants them.
